Lacatster Cat Cafe in Lancaster, PA

First Impressions: A Latte Love at First Sight

The second we (Callie, Seymour, Yebba & Mama) padded through the doors of the newly opened Lancatster Cat Café, we were hit with two heavenly things:
☕ The aroma of Kitty Town Coffee and 😻 the sound of happy purrs.

Six months young and already making waves in Central PA, this cat café has become a local haven for cat lovers and caffeine enthusiasts alike. Our first visit was everything a cat could dream of — soft music, friendly faces, and a space designed for comfort and connection.

How It Works

After the hoomans check in, you’re guided to a cozy prep area to remove your shoes (or pop on booties) and wash your paws. Then it’s game on — you get a 50-minute session to hang out in one of two rooms filled with fluffy locals looking for homes.

During our visit, there were eight cats on site — each with their own quirks and charm. Our 2 favorites were:

  • Heather (9½ years old): The resident queen of boundaries and glorious side-eye. She had just celebrated going 3 days without scratching someone!! 😂

  • Daisy (3 months): A shy little muffin who hid under a chair until we won her heart with lots of pets.
She now calls us “official snack guardians.”

The volunteers shared sweet stories about each cat — most rescued from ORCA and Columbia Animal Shelter — and how the café has already helped 26 cats find forever homes.

The Space & The Mission

Lancatster Cat Café isn’t just cute — it’s deeply intentional. Every corner is filled with warm lighting, soft music, and a huge wall mural of hundreds of hand-painted feline faces celebrating adoptions.

The café offers guests a chance to bond with cats in a low-stress, home-like environment — something we can personally vouch makes all the difference.

We heard laughter, soft meows, and the occasional espresso steam — a symphony of rescue joy.

Why You Need to Visit

Because you’re not just buying a latte — you’re changing lives.
Every reservation helps cover medical care and food for the cats, and every adoption frees up space for another life to be saved.

Whether you’re a PA local or planning a day trip from Reading or Harrisburg, make this café a stop on your purr map.
Reservations can be made at LancatsterCatCafe.com — and trust us, weekends fill fast!
