BERKS COUNTY, PA — Berks County’s biggest animal rescue golf fundraiser officially returns today. ⛳🐾

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is once again bringing together local businesses, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and animal lovers for its annual “Not Your Grandfather’s Golf Outing” — a community event that has become one of the region’s most recognizable rescue fundraisers.

While golf registration has officially sold out, community members still have an opportunity to participate through the event’s popular After PawTee celebration.

For many attendees, the outing is about far more than golf.

It’s about supporting the lifesaving work ARL does every single day for animals across Berks County.

From emergency rescue cases and medical care to shelter operations and adoption services, fundraisers like this help provide critical support for animals in need throughout the region.

A Community Event With a Bigger Purpose

Each year, the outing brings together a wide mix of local businesses, organizations, and supporters who all share a common goal: helping animals in Berks County.

Throughout the day, attendees can expect:

  • on-course activities

  • sponsor experiences

  • community networking

  • food and drinks

  • raffles and entertainment

  • the After PawTee celebration

  • fundraising efforts supporting ARL’s mission

Stray Cat News will also be onsite throughout the day providing local coverage, sponsor highlights, event photography, and community updates from the outing.

After PawTee Tickets May Be the Last Chance to Join

Although golf spots filled quickly, After PawTee tickets have remained one of the final ways for the public to experience the event atmosphere while supporting ARL.

The After PawTee portion of the event has become especially popular for attendees who want to support the fundraiser without participating in the golf tournament itself.

Community members interested in attending are encouraged to check availability as early as possible today.

Why Events Like This Matter

Animal welfare organizations across Pennsylvania continue facing rising costs for:

  • veterinary care

  • medical emergencies

  • food and supplies

  • housing and shelter operations

  • rescue intake support

Events like “Not Your Grandfather’s Golf Outing” help bridge that gap while also bringing the local community together around a shared mission.

For many supporters, it’s one of the few opportunities each year to directly connect with fellow animal advocates, sponsors, volunteers, and rescue organizations in one place.

Follow Along With Live Coverage

Stray Cat News will be sharing:

  • event photos

  • sponsor spotlights

  • live updates

  • community highlights

  • After PawTee coverage

  • behind-the-scenes moments throughout the day

Community members attending the outing are encouraged to say hello, share photos, and tag Stray Cat News throughout the event.A Familiar Event, Still Evolving
