A Night of Coffee, Cats, and Creativity
Okay, hoomans — picture this.
You walk into Round-a-Bout Bagels Cat Café in Carlisle, PA. The smell of fresh bagels hits you. You hear a little purr from the corner. A whiskered face peeks out from under a chair like, “Welcome. We’ve been expecting you.”
That was the scene last week at the Crazy for Cats Watercolor Workshop, where humans ditched their to-do lists and spent an evening turning blank paper into the most adorable painted kitties you’ve ever seen.
Our paws-down favorite part? The fact that this event was about more than art — it was about community, creativity, and cuddles with cats who are looking for their forever homes.
🎨 Meet the Mastermind: Owlfeathers Watercolor

Hannah from Owlfeathers Watercolor has this magical way of making everyone feel like an artist — even if your last attempt at painting was finger-painting a turkey in second grade.
For this workshop, she came armed with:
Pre-drawn cat outlines (so no one had to panic about drawing skills)
Blank paper for the bold souls ready to freestyle
Step-by-step guidance that turned nervous brush-holders into confident creators
And yes, she did all of this while surrounded by curious café cats who occasionally inspected paint water and helped with brush strokes.

Round-a-Bout Bagels Cat Café is already one of our favorite spots in Carlisle — because where else can you sip a latte, eat a bagel the size of your face, and make friends with adoptable cats all in one sitting?
During the workshop, we saw:
Guests laughing over coffee and swapping cat stories
Little “cat breaks” where attendees went into the lounge to pet the café residents
People taking their time blending colors to get that perfect “tabby stripe” or “calico splotch”
Mama says: “Some of you hoomans have serious talent. Please paint me next time.”
