Hey hoomans — it’s Callie, Seymour, Yebba, and Mama from the Stray Cat News newsroom! 🐾
If you’ve been looking for ways to give back (or just pet some cute animals while enjoying good food), November is your month. The Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) is hosting a lineup of events that combine community, compassion, and maybe a little gravy.
Here’s what’s happening across Berks this month!
Affordable Vaccine Clinics — November 10 & 24
📍 Pet Supplies Plus, 538 E Lancaster Ave, Shillington, PA
🕓 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Join the ARL team for low-cost pet vaccines and microchipping.
Whether your cat needs a rabies shot or your dog needs a wellness update, these clinics make it easy to stay up-to-date and healthy — no appointment required!
🐾 Pro Tip from Mama: Keep your pet’s record card handy and bring a treat or two. Vet visits are always easier with snacks.
Dine Fur Pets at Paolo’s — November 13
📍 Paolo’s Restaurant & Bar, 2480 Lancaster Pike, Reading, PA
🕓 4:00 – 9:00 PM
What’s better than pasta? Pasta that saves lives! 🍝
Enjoy a delicious dinner at Paolo’s Restaurant & Bar and help local animals — 15% of all sales benefit the ARL.
Bring your family, your friends, or that person you’ve been trying to convince to adopt a cat.
Give Back Friday at Paisley & Company — November 28
📍 277 W Main St, Kutztown, PA

This Black Friday, skip the chaos and shop with purpose.
Paisley & Company is donating a portion of every sale (in-store and online) to support the ARL’s mission.

Dine Fur Pets at honeygrow — November 29

🕥 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM
Order lunch, dinner, or takeout at Honeygrow in Wyomissing PA and 20% of your order will be donated back to the ARL!
You can participate in-store or through honeygrow’s app — just mention the fundraiser when ordering.
Lights on Elwyn — November 29–December 30
📍 216 Elwyn Ave, Sinking Spring, PA
This iconic neighborhood holiday light display shines bright for the ARL every winter!
Bundle up, grab a cocoa, and enjoy thousands of twinkling lights while supporting local animals in need.
